Uturunku and the Power of Corn
The Dog-Jaguar-Fox triad, along with the corn, are symbolic elements that guide us on a journey into the protagonist's inner self. Diana is a woman who has not only faced the harsh challenges caused by an early neurodegenerative disease, but also a surprising and painful breakup with the love of her life. This journey, filled with difficulties, becomes a journey of discovery, not only of her capacity for adaptation but also of the gifts these twists and turns have brought to her life: a profound reconnection with herself and her roots.
The author weaves her life story in a raw, yet simultaneously funny and optimistic way. Everyday situations are explored not only from the perspective of disability, but from the depths of our human condition and our fragile well-being.
